It has not always been there. My family and I moved to Tallahassee
from Melbourne Beach, FL, in August, 1982, after being called by
our national church to start a new mission. Those years have gone
by quickly and many things have changed.
For the first two years we worshipped in a tent, a nursing home lobby, and two different
store fronts on Capital Circle NE. My office was half of our bedroom. I guess that was also
an office in the corner, come to think of it.
With growth of the congregation came our first unit completed in the spring of 1985. That
building served us well. Oh yes, my office was also in the corner of that facility.
In August of 2004, we dedicated our renovated and expanded facility with our square
footage now three times that of the first unit. And as I said, my office is now in a new spot
but it's still in the corner. That's fine with me.
The center of our building is still the worship area. That's important since we believe our life
together centers around worship. Our Fellowship Hall and Educational Unit are extensions of
that worship center.
We invite you to worship with us. Our space serves us well but it's the people that are the key
to our ministry together.
Come and meet them. They will welcome you, love and support you as they have me over
these many years. Come and see me too. You'll find me over there in the corner.
